The deposit is compound of several low sulphidation gold veins with mineralization of Ag, Cu and Zn. Mineralogy present on oxidized and sulphurized zones.
The major challenge faced in this project was accomplish the 3D modelling of veins, according different methodologies NSR, minimum thickness or cut-off grade. Besides, an intense review of the high grades’ strategy (Top-capping) proving restrictions by capping and high yield.
The main activities accomplished by GeoEstima were: 3D modelling of veins by NSR or minimum thickness according cut-off grade, definition of subdomains inside each vein, define zone sterile halo around veins and a model of the upper limit of sulfites mineralized zones, using the software Leapfrog® Geo. Then, an estimation of Au, Ag, Cu and Zn content was made, using the software EDGE and Isatis®. With this information the resources were categorized.
